Bears in N.J. - Harding Township, Ex 32 off 287 - Trail camera captured image of a bear on January 1st.

They're relatively common up in the Sparta region, where I have relatives. NNadir Saturday #1
They are not uncommon in NJ, especially in Sussex County. The thing on this one, it was JANUARY 1st. 3Hotdogs Saturday #2

Occasionally they've been seen in the Princeton area, where I live.

There are a pair of foxes on the Princeton University campus. No tigers though, despite the tiger symbols everywhere.

Two weeks ago, I was on a hike with Hunterdon Hiking Club. The argument was about the poop on the field we were crossing and that it couldn't be bear poop because the bears are hibernating.

So much for that theory.
