Defamation claims against Paladino, Caputo will go to trial next month

A defamation trial against Carl Paladino and Michael Caputo has been scheduled to begin in New York City next month.

The trial stems from a lawsuit filed by former Libertarian candidate for governor, Warren Redlich. It is slated to start March 29 in New York City, according to court records.

Redlich's lawsuit accuses Paladino, Caputo and Republican strategist Roger Stone of being behind a campaign mailer during the 2010 race for governor that refers to Redlich as "a sick twisted pervert" who "defends sex with children."

Paladino and Caputo have previously denied any involvement with the mailer, according to the Albany Times-Union.

Carl Paladino was was unhinged during that campaign, threatened a reporter - among other things. And he hasn't changed - remember the recent racist remarks he made against Michelle Obama. The guy can't help being offensive, surprised he isn't in jail.
