Yancey County elections board weighs complaints from 2026 primary

YANCEY COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — A ruling is expected tomorrow in Yancey County on at least one issue challenged from the March 3 primary, the county's board of elections said.

The Yancey County Board of Elections Office said the complaint centers on the commissioner's race, the misuse of sample ballots, and the opening times of two Yancey County precincts.

A decision on today's hearing is expected on Friday, March 20, when the board meets at 1:00 p.m. A second hearing is scheduled for Monday, March 23.
