There is still no word on why the Kappa Alpha Order chapter at the University of Oklahoma was shut down by its national office last week.

"The National Administrative Office of Kappa Alpha Order has closed the local OU chapter," Jesse Lyons, assistance executive director for Advancement and editor of The Kappa Alpha Journal, said in a provided statement. OU Nightly, the student-run television news outlet, reported that the closure was over an investigation into hazing practices. This has not been confirmed by the fraternity to The Transcript.
