Donatos franchise owner Christina Vogel (D) enters race for Erie County executive
Entrepreneur Christina Vogel on Monday launched her candidacy for Erie County executive, pledging to cut through the “drama” of county government and instead focus on people, partnerships and fiscal responsibility.
“I am not a career politician,” said Vogel, 48. “I’m a regular person that wants to change the trajectory of Erie County.”
Vogel, a Fairview resident, is the owner of two Donatos Pizza locations and the first independent female franchisee in the company's history.
She’s the second Democrat to challenge incumbent Republican Brenton Davis, following the announcement of Perry Wood, the executive director of the Gaming Revenue Authority.
