Got a message that my cable is out because of the hurricane

Pretty nice of them to tell me, since I wouldn't have known. My power is out, and I can't turn on the TV to check on cable status.

Funny though. Where I live (northeast Richland county) the storm has been getting very quiet lately. Rain, but not much wind.

Hope all the rest of my DU local contacts are doing well, and surviving Ian.

But unfortunately, when you get out to the main road, it's all on telephone poles.

I think they should slowly start replacing those with underground for everybody. It might take 10 years but they got to start somewhere.
