2 seats up for election on Kerrville ISD board

Two seats are up for election this year on Kerrville Independent School District board of trustees.

The trustee election is set for Saturday, May 3, with seats for Single Member District 6 and Single Member District 7 up for election.

In District 6, incumbent David Sprouse is running unopposed.

In District 7, incumbent Mike Tackett has decided not to seek reelection. Two candidates have filed for the seat: Caleb Boone and Mike Wittler.

I'm pretty happy overall with the election outcomes in town if not in the whole area. We've managed to retain a civic-minded majority on the council, the KISD board, and in the mayor's chair. Our luck will likely run out soon, but it's been a nice 5 years.
