Police: Subway employee drugged police officer's drink with meth, THC
A Subway restaurant employee has been arrested for allegedly spiking a police officer's drink with methamphetamine and THC.
Tanis Ukena, 18, was working at the Subway in Layton, Utah, when a police sergeant ordered lunch at the drive-thru, The New York Daily News reported.
The sergeant had begun driving away when he realized something wasn't right. He said the drink "tasted funny," and he quickly began feeling unusual, according to a report obtained by the Deseret News.
"The (sergeant) began feeling the effects of being drugged," the police report said. "While approaching an intersection that had a red light, he had difficulty getting his foot to move to the brake pedal. (He) drove to the Layton Police Department, where he was observed to have signs of impairment. He was unable to process information and drifted off, and was unable to focus on questions being asked of him."
