Newly formed Ogden Valley City prepares for first mayoral election
EDEN, Utah (KUTV) — For the first time, the newly formed Ogden Valley City will elect its first mayor.
Three candidates are on the ballot: Janet Wampler, Shanna Francis and Douglas J. Dickson.
“This election for the mayor is critical,” said Janet Wampler, mayoral candidate for Ogden Valley City. “Whoever is elected and what they're able to accomplish will set the foundation for the next two decades.”
Wampler grew up visiting Ogden Valley and later moved there to raise her family. She said her experience in corporate America and leadership is what the new city needs.
