Ash falling onto my patio from the Patch Springs fire.



I am probably 20 miles on the other side of the mountain, although it does look like it breached the top and is headed down this side. The sky is an eerie orange color.

I have fought these brush/cedar fires, ending up with being in a cast for 6 weeks from tearing the ligaments on my ankle from stepping in a gopher (?) hole. It is very rugged terrain. My best wished to the firefighters.
