Bastyr University lists Kenmore campus for sale, seeks new location
Bastyr University on Wednesday said it plans to sell all or parts of its Kenmore campus to secure the financial health and future of the alternative medicine school.
Development scenarios for the over 50-acre property include options for affordable, mixed-use, multifamily housing in "a village-like setting" with access to recreational trails and wetlands, states the announcement. The campus is surrounded by St. Edward State Park.
Bastyr has listed the property with a team from Berkadia led by Mitchell Belcher. There is no list price for the property.
It's listed as an opportunity for institutional expansion with labs and clinics and 132 units of student housing. In addition, there are over 12 acres of developable land where up to 1,000 apartment units could be built, according to the offering memorandum.
