Valley Medical Center to close clinics, cut jobs amid financial strain
Valley Medical Center will close two inpatient units, consolidate services and cut jobs in South King County in response to its ongoing financial instability, the Renton-based nonprofit health care provider said in a news release Monday.
Valley will close its Northwest Pavilion and pediatrics units on June 27, as well as several clinics, including for primary care, maternal fetal medicine, occupational health services, and pediatric neurology and sleep medicine.
It closed its urgent care clinic at Renton Landing on May 12.
Next month, Valley will also consolidate its medication management clinic in Covington partially to its Renton location and its women’s health care clinic in Covington to locations in Renton and Auburn.
