Bellevue nonprofit serving low-income students to lay off 100 employees

The College Success Foundation on Monday filed a notice with the Washington state Employment Security Department disclosing layoffs of 100 employees.

The Bellevue-based nonprofit provides underserved, low-income students in Washington state and the Washington, D.C., area with resources they need to prepare for and graduate from college, such as coaching and tuition assistance.

Layoffs are scheduled to begin July 9, according to the notice. The organization has not yet responded to a request for comment.

CSF had $32.4 million in revenue in 2022, according to its latest available federal tax filing, and just over $30 million in total assets. Its employee count was 195 in 2022, up 33% from the year before.
