Related: About this forumLooking for a Covid-cautious dentist in the greater Seattle area
It's difficult to find this info in 2025, in this supposedly post-covid world. I could make various requests around masking of personnel, but I'd rather just find a dentist who is cautious from the get-go.
I haven't found this info on reddit, and I've avoided facebook for years. I'm trusting my DU fam to not devolve the conversation into debating Covid or the merits of my caution. Please create a different discussion if that's your intention.
Kind thanks for any info you guys have.

(3,273 posts)I think folks there are more likely to wig out, but, yeah, I could be more likely to find a provider there.

(40,029 posts)Six dentists, most recent listing is 2.5 years old, and only one of their websites mentions Covid. Still, that's a start and I appreciate you referring me there!

(4 posts)I plan to start looking for a dentist who takes extra precautions against COVID this week. I'm closer to Everett than Seattle, but anywhere in the greater metro area is fine.
I haven't been to a dentist for a while and I have a couple of broken teeth and other work I need done. I am looking into sedation dentistry to see if I can get it all done at once, and because I get panicky going to the dentist after a bad experience a few years ago.
I also live with someone who is medically vulnerable, and would like to find a dentist who takes extra COVID precautions to minimize their risk.
Any recommendations for a dentist who offers either of these services (or if I'm very lucky, both) would be very appreciated. I have been trying to figure out how to find a reputable dentist, but am not finding much guidance online.
I will post anything I come across to this thread.
Thanks for any tips or recommendations.

(3,273 posts)Even though the entries are two or more years old, and the dentists don't really mention Covid on their websites, it seems they did hold onto precautions longer than others did. https://www.covidmeetups.com/
If I can't find someone who takes solid precautions, I'll probably just ask for what I can (N95 masks when the providers are in the room with me), and take the very earliest appointment they offer. (And I'm NOT a morning person.) I haven't yet braved Nextdoor (or, ::shudder::, facebook) but I'll also post to this thread if I find someone.
