U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal, King County Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda endorse Katie Wilson for Mayor of Seattle
Two of Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrells most prominent endorsers have decided to formally endorse his challenger Katie Wilson for the same position, Wilsons campaign announced in a statement sent to local media outlets this afternoon.
U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal and King County Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda are both apparently shifting to having dual endorsements in this years Seattle mayoral race. Through Wilsons campaign, each offered a testimonial today on her behalf.
Harrells campaign considers both to be very important supporters you can tell that from looking at his endorsements page. Jayapal is the fourth endorser shown, after Governor Bob Ferguson, Attorney General Nick Brown, and Senator Maria Cantwell. Mosqueda, meanwhile, has the twelfth spot in the portrait gallery of Harrell endorsers.
Jayapal offered the following testimonial:
Katie is an organizer, like me, who has shown her fight and mettle in successfully organizing transit riders from the ground up, working in coalition to pass successful policies like the Jumpstart tax and desperately needed social housing. She understands the need to build a strong team around her that will ensure her vision becomes reality. She will be a fighter for the principles of equity, immigrant justice, civil rights, and fundamental democratic rights that are all under threat right now and hallmarks of the fights I take on every single day as your Member of Congress.
