Adopt A Stream Foundation hosts free screening of "FISH WARS"

EVERETT — The Adopt A Stream Foundation is showing the film, “FISH WAR,” featured at the Seattle International Film Festival, at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Northwest Stream Center, 600 128th Street SE.

The film, produced by North Forty Productions and Northwest Treaty Tribes Media, chronicles Indigenous peoples’ fight for respected sovereign rights in Washington.

The Fish Wars refer to a series of civil disobedience protests by tribes during the 1960s and 1970s, which led up to the Federal Court intervention in 1974, resulting in the Boldt Decision that solidified treaty rights.

The film is free to attend. Register for a ticket at https://www.streamkeeper.org/.
