Firebrand Sen. Bernie Sanders stumps with Baldwin in Eau Claire
One thousand vocal area residents “felt the Bern” Saturday morning as Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-Vt., told a crowd with Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., at a campaign rally in Eau Claire that the stakes are too high for everyone to not be politically active and informed.
Baldwin spoke from a stage at The Lismore Hotel against special interests in Washington, D.C., the possible reversal of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision and President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court justice nomination of Brett Kavanaugh. She told the crowd she is a senator who can get things accomplished.

“They know that I will stand up to anyone, no matter how powerful,” Baldwin said to a round of applause, “and I will sit down with anyone, no matter their party, if it means that we finally get the job done.”
