Related: About this forumWisconsin Republicans Robin Vos and Kevin Nicholson are open to the idea of arming teachers . . .
So, they want teachers to do the jobs of police officers, who are trained, wearing all sorts of protective gear, etc. Teachers should not responsible for protecting students against intruders. It's totally ridiculous that this is even being talked about.

(549 posts)Even a teacher who is willing to be armed is no match for someone carrying an Assault Rifle and would become the very first target of the killer. So in essence to be effective the teacher would have to have an assault rifle with a sling strapped over his or her shoulder thru the course of the day. Nice Image, Eh?

(15,011 posts)who propose arming teachers should take turns protecting our schools. See if they are willing to confront someone with an automatic weapon.

If our trained police cant or wont do it, its time to ban the guns, not ask the teachers the GOP has been $hitting on since Act 10 to do it.
