Pete Buttigieg to campaign for Harris in Green Bay, Fox Valley on Saturday
GREEN BAY As early voting gets into gear, Pete Buttigieg will join the growing roster of surrogates who've crisscrossed northeast Wisconsin stumping for either Vice President Kamala Harris or former president Donald Trump.
The Secretary of the Department of Transportation will stump as a private citizen through Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh and Fond du Lac on Saturday, according to the Harris-Walz campaign. He will reiterate the message Minnesota first lady Gwen Walz will take through Green Bay and Marinette on Friday: vote, and vote early.
Many Wisconsinites have already taken the message to heart, like in Green Bay, where the line to vote went out the front doors of City Hall on Wisconsin's first day for in-person absentee voting.
During what will be his second political campaign stop for Harris in Wisconsin, Buttigieg will continue the tactic that Harris, Gov. Tim Walz, U.S. Sen. JD Vance, and former president Barack Obama have brought from the national campaign trail to Wisconsin in the home stretch to Election Day: contrast the presidential tickets on the issues Wisconsinites say are top-of-mind this election.
