City of Monona places operational referendum on November ballot
MONONA, Wis. (WMTV) -The city of Monona placed an operational referendum on the Nov. 5 ballot that will impact taxpayers and the city’s services.
Monona officials hosted their final public information meeting about the referendum at the city’s public library on Wednesday.
During the meeting the city discussed a $3 million one-time permanent tax increase to maintain the city’s operational expenses.
“It’s going to hurt if it doesn’t pass,” Monona Mayor Mary O’Connor said.
