Bill Clinton to hit campaign trail in Wisconsin, making stops in Fox Valley and Milwaukee
Former President Bill Clinton will campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris in the Fox Valley and Milwaukee on Thursday.
It will be Clinton's first campaign stop in Wisconsin, after rallying in other battleground states like Arizona and North Carolina. No locations have been announced yet for Clinton's stops. Former President Barack Obama rallied in Madison earlier this month.
In their latest effort to convince voters that decency and character are on the ballot this November, Wisconsin Democrats are turning to Bill Clinton to make their case. Good luck with that," Republican Party of Wisconsin chairman Brian Schimming said in a statement, referring to a sex scandal during Clinton's presidency that led to an impeachment vote in the House of Representatives.
Clinton is expected to push for early voting, according to a campaign advisory. Early voting levels in Wisconsin surged to 40% above 2020 levels, and higher-than-expected turnout caused delays in the system used to print labels for absentee ballot envelopes. Early voting began in Wisconsin on Oct. 22 and can run through Nov. 3.
