(906 posts)I voted for Rodriguez before her campaign manager sabotaged her candidacy.
My main concern is electability in the general election. Based on that, my second choice is Joel Brennen. I live in a very red part of one of the reddest counties in the state. From this vantage point, I see just how racist and misogynistic Wisconsin truly is and how tough it will be to overcome that.

(906 posts)She stands for everything I look for in a politician. She would easily be my first choice under normal circumstances.
Brennen was in the Evers administration and has Tom Barrett's endorsement. He was president and CEO of Discovery World, a science and technology museum. Normally, I have a healthy distrust of any CEO but these are not normal times.
From an electability perspective, my money is on Brennen.
I just learned that Wisconsin no longer allows you to cancel your absentee ballot and get a new one, so my Rodriguez vote is locked in. Let that be a lesson. Don't complete or send in your ballot until a week before the election.
