Artist brings life to an Edmonton alley

The Forest Heights community league teamed up with the Hughes gas station at 106th Avenue and 82nd Street to revamp an alleyway. What was once a crumbling wall has been transformed with the help of a city grant and Métis artist Brandon Atkinson. His mural, inspired by Edmonton's river valley, features wildlife like wolves, elk and bears. It's Atkinson's most extensive art piece yet, and he hopes it's just the start of a dream he has been chasing for over a decade.
