in the world. I like his focus on growing the middle class myself. He is all about that. Don't let them slur him. He's not perfect but nobody is. Except Zelensky. Who even refuses to be iconic.

He and Xi wish to showcase autocracies as the most viable form of government, strong, determined, unified, all powerful.

Yes that is why Ukraine was a huge threat for Putin for the reasons you mention. He could not tolerate a thriving democracy right on his doorstep.
