The Democratic nominee for the 2024 MD US Senate Election if Cardin does not run will be Alsobrooks.
Alsobrooks will be the first black female US Senator from MD who is very popular with the MD Democratic establishment. Governor Wes Moore,Lt Governor Aruna Miller,Attorney General Anthony Brown,Comptroller Brooke Lierman, and MD-4D US Representative Glenn Ivey will endorse Alsobrooks in the Democratic primary because Alsobrooks helped Moore,Miller,Brown,Lierman and Ivey win the Democratic nomination for the positions they were elected to in 2022.
Alsobrooks will be competing against 3 60 something year old sitting white male US House Members. Jamie Raskin,John Sarbanes, and David Trone. All 3 of them will split the white male vote.
Alsobrooks will carry the majority black counties.
