I need to patch my roof. It seems like it should work, but I'd hate to end up scraping tar off the inside of the microwave.

I personally would not try this, although I don't know whether it will splatter......since no one has ever tried this before.
BTW, if you try it, please report back. As I said, no one knows what would happen.
