AMD Quick Stream question

Without my approval, Windows installed an update to my Windows 10 when I turned on my laptop this morning. It took about two hours. Once it finished and I logged on, I got an error message saying my computer could not find the license installed for "AMD Quick Stream".

Not knowing what that is, I Googled it, and found a lot of people have asked how to uninstall it due to problems with it. I did not understand what the AMD products are supposed to do. I also saw that AMD items are pre-installed on many HP products, and my laptop is HP.

1. What is AMD Quick Stream?

2. Should I do an uninstall, and re-install?

3. Should I delete any remnants of it?

I just want to know if I need the AMD Quick Stream, or if I can delete any/all traces of it.

I reinstalled the AMD Quick Stream installer software from their website, the file was named abc.exe, rebooted and the error message went away.

I reinstalled AMD Quick Stream, and now my PC is running faster and there are no problems.
