New old scam??

So last week I get a text, " here is your new twitter account log in code"....
I 'm not on twitter. So I delete it. I go to the twitter website to see if there is any info on people spoofing my phone # in the twitterverse... Nope. I gulp and join twitter to see if there is any info. Nope. I unsubscribe from twitter.
I guess it was a spearfishing attempt to get me to click on the link..
Yesterday I get a very similar text about my acceptance link to ticTok what ever that is.

Anybody else getting junk text's like this?
I never click on unsolicited links, even if it's my bank, gmail.apple etc. I delete it and go to the web site and check it out..
This crap along with a bazillion spam messages started when I went to one of those multiple offer travel websites to get the cost of a plane flight. Good thing my spam filter is up to the task.. uffda

2. Never click/open anything in texts or emails that you aren't expecting!

Spoofing contacts to fool people and other dirty tricks are probably out there or in the works.

Lookout is a decent app for safety on phones, and is free to use with some additional features for $.

If you aren't using any anti-virus/malware tools, that is on you, look into it!
