That can cause problems with all sorts of programs, as does updating Windows. Make sure you have the latest version of Malwarebytes installed since updates can break it.

I have the free version installed on three machines in the house and they all work fine. I just tried again.

At no point, though, is my browser involved at all, so I'm wondering what your setup is exactly. Are you running the free-standing program, or are you running it in the browser or on a phone or something?

Figured getting frequent updates was worthwhile on a malware program. At the time, it was a one time cost with no annual fees etc

blocking the update. I had to go into Norton and conversely malwarebytes to include exceptions to blocking each other.

I went to their website. It is working on both MS Edge and Firefox. But, I do know a full update was downloaded a couple of weeks before.

BTW, I am having a lot of problems with Firefox blocking things from opening lately, despite spending time making sure it wasn't some hidden adblocker feature or a problem with Norton or Malwarebytes. These sites function properly under Edge conversely. I don't know who is making decisions as Firefox, but they are destroying the damned browser imo.

If it's an email, then yes that should be a big red warning flag.
