Cannot get my HP (sadly Windows 11) to stop timing out within 3 minutes of non use.
Tried changing in account according to my computer info and also the internet. Drives me crazy. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

How old is this computer and battery?

(4,435 posts)I had a different problem with my HP Envy. For reasons I can not explain, it required me to log into my HP account on my Windows 11 laptop before I could use the scanner. (when I first got it, everything worked perfectly!)
When I tried to log into the stupid HP account, it failed. I am an IT Support type of person and this was just making me angry, and I needed to use the scanner.
I decided to update the driver, then voila! I could once again log into my account.
I think updating the driver would be worth a try. (Or, re-install the printer on the windows machine)

Win 11 is actually a really good operating system but without the Microsoft account.
Go to settings
>System
>Power
And have a diddle around with the screen and sleep settings. See how you go.
