Ordering a new MBPro today!

My primary employer will "own" it but I'll use it as long as I'm with them.

15 inch with max size solid state drive, 8Gig RAM, max processor, it should really kick ass.

Old unit is a black MacBook, good unit but gets bogged down with some tasks.

The new solid state drives are really next gen great stuff!

New models are supposed to be out in a month or two, as soon as they finish updating Lion, or maybe it's the next version. At any rate, Mac Rumors said that the developer code for the next iteration of OSX will have support for a new AMD video chip in it, which means, new models soon.

At any rate, enjoy the new machine. It will get bogged down as long as you give it too much to do. I know my MBP does as well.

3. We picked up Lion to load on everything...

And a new MB Air came in- that's loaded too and I really use it far more often, the pro stays at the office, the air goes with me everywhere!
