Reunion, a leading not-for-profit plant medicine center, welcomes Indigenous healers and wisdom keepers from an array of lineages

100% of Reunion's proceeds support impact initiatives for Indigenous medicine and scholarships

GUANACASTE, COSTA RICA (PRWEB) JUNE 01, 2023

Reunion Costa Rica, a not-for-profit retreat center founded in 2019 providing transformational plant medicine journeys for healing and personal growth, is proud to welcome five additional Indigenous medicine carriers from across Central and South America as facilitators of its on-going program “The Reunion Experience: An Ayahuasca Journey."

Reunion’s expanded body of practitioners will provide an integral connection between ancient traditions and modern plant medicine practices for health and wellness.

  • Christian Calero Díaz is an 11th generation Peruvian healer and shaman and brings to Reunion a deep reverence for plant medicine and a life-long dedication to these sacred practices.

  • Ninawa Pai Da Mata is an ancient wisdom keeper, spiritual leader, and renowned medicine musician of the Amazonian Huni Kuin people, whose work is focused on sharing and spreading Huni Kuin culture through traditional chants and songs.

  • Maestra Ynes and her two daughters, Maestra Laura and Maestra Lila, bring to Reunion over 80 years of dedicated medicine experience and ancestral knowledge of the Shipibo tradition. They have devoted their lives to healing and bring with them a wealth of generational and familial knowledge.

Together, the depth and breadth of knowledge that these wisdom keepers bring to Reunion’s ceremonial offerings will enable the organization to better serve the growing plant medicine community as its guests seek to explore authentic, transformative healing experiences.

Not that trivial an undertaking, is it?

Great to hear it was a positive experience.

He was prepared to approach the experience with respect and openness. He learned a lot.

I spent 2 months in a Peruvian rainforest earlier this year - life changing experience.

You do have to do your homework to find a good retreat - this place sounds amazing !

So I’m very interested in learning from those who have these experiences. How did you come to be in Peru for so long, if I may ask?

I just knew I needed to return to the rainforest. I chose Mai Niti and lived in a large compound with the maestras large family, many pets, and 12 other seekers. I only planned on one month - but felt compelled to stay another. One of the best choices in my life.

Came away with a more positive outlook for the world, though facing squarely the current inexorable catastrophes. Do you have any revelations on that front?

I was surprised at what seems to me universal perceptions and his sense that mother aya was in control. (I’m paraphrasing; I have only had one hour of his conversation so far.)

I think the energy or ‘frequency’ of our thoughts within society as a whole will drive us in a direction. I believe that is why the more malevolent and selfish among us (Wetiko) try to divide us and spread misery. Low vibrational energy is what they ‘feed’ on. If you u truly understand narcissism and the fact that these small damaged souls are the most damaged among us you begin to see things clearly.

That likely makes no sense, it’s more of an internal ‘knowing’ that words cannot describe.

I believe aya unlocks your higher self to create cohesion.
