A new group at DU to discuss disordered eating and body image issues.

I wanted to let y'all know DU has added an Eating Disorders Support (Group). This is a topic for which many men shy from, but recent studies have shown more and more men are affected by these issues, not just because they have a partner with them, but they (men and boys) are suffering directly. The following is the group's statement of purpose:

A safe haven to discuss issues and experiences related to disordered eating concerns; including resources, news, and research related to such disorders including, but not limited to, food addictions, anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and compulsive overeating, as well as body image issues.

Body dysmorphia is a real problem, even for men and boys. Whereas in the past, it seemed as men were not pressured to look a certain way, this is no longer true and many are destroying their bodies in a variety of ways. I hope you all will take a moment to consider looking in and perhaps posting.

Thanks!
