SO, ANWR is Doomed?

LardASS and his crime family have actively moved to open ANWR and nearby Arctic lands for drilling. They reversed prior restrictions and proposed expansive leasing, drawing both legal scrutiny and environmental backlash.

No. Even the oil companies admit there is currently no compelling reason - market wise, to drill there harumph Jul 14 #6

No infrastructure to get whatever oil is there to market. Would take many years just to set things up and get production going. And steel tariffs just made drilling more expensive.

Without higher oil prices or massive subsidies there won’t be anything happening.

If Trump wants it to happen, he won't care if it's actually profitable. Kind of like his deportation scheme.
That's how he racked up several bankruptcies.

The fossil fuel industry gave him millions of dollars so they get rewarded with subsidies.

The Big farms that also gave Krasnov millions of dollars will get amnesty for their undocumented workers and are being deregulated.

Krasnov does this to send out a message.

doesn't matter. He has lived his life doing deficit spending and not having to answer to the consequences.

He threw the dog a bone, but the dog is not interested.
If by the time a market reason exists, hopefully the leases can be rescinded.
