ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA. (WVIR) -- A nonprofit dog rescue organization wants answers after seeing a video circulating online showing a Keswick man brutally beating his dog.
The video captured by a concerned neighbor shows all of this unfolding in real time on Monday, January 6.
"The man came into camera and picked up the dog and threw it then he immediately walked over to it and started beating it with some sort of horse rod or something," Dogs Deserve Better Blue Ridge President Kimberly Hawk said.
Albemarle County Police Department says it charged a man with a class 1 misdemeanor for animal cruelty.
