China Abandoned by Business - Joe Blogs
In this video I discuss the mass exodus of companies out of China. China was one of the first countries to offer low cost high quality mass manufacturing and this resulted in lots of overseas businesses developing operations in China. However labor costs have been rising in China and other countries with lower cost bases have significantly developed their infrastructure and manufacturing skills. Added to this the USA & the European Unin (amongst others) have introduced tariffs on Chinese imports which have reduced the attractiveness of manufacturing in China. As a result companies are now relocating their facilities to other countries and this poses another threat to the Chinese Economy.
