Panic Hits Markets - Joe Blogs

Donald Trump just announced a 100% tariff on all Chinese imports — and the markets immediately crashed.

The S&P 500 fell nearly 3%, the Nasdaq tumbled over 3.5%, and traders are bracing for more losses on Monday.

In this video, we’ll break down exactly what Trump said, why the markets reacted so violently, and what this means for both the U.S. and Chinese economies.

📉 Was this the start of Trade War 2.0?

Actually he announced "calculations", not a tariff. The 100% was announced after the market closed. . . . . nt Bernardo de La Paz 5 hrs ago #1

along with car parts exclusive of those that use niobium-titanium supermagnets. Still, this bunch of yahoos in the White House is so erratic when it comes to this stuff that any imports are going to be chaotic as people offloading ships for delivery have to figure out what the stupid tariff is this week, or just today, since it will likely change again soon.

Now we learn UPS has been dumping packages destined for businesses that can't afford to pay these ridiculously high tariffs.

This is not going to end well, people.
