Hezbollah launches strikes in to Israel

and of course Israel strikes back. IMHO Hezbollah launched strikes into Israel in order to distract everyone from the mess that Lebanon is right now. Government in tatters, economy shattered. Hezbollah is the powerbroker in Lebanon, and it is largely to blame for the problems going in in Lebanon. So it needed a distraction, and it created one.
