(26,460 posts)It also suggests that Israel's focus in the north has Hamas concerned about...? Israel finding hostages? Israel rooting out Hamas underground bunkers?
Hamas is sending the message that if you flee south, we will kill you. Animals, each and every one of them.

(7,026 posts)and both sides have done things to escalate it. Yes, I agree, this most recent action by Hamas is horrible and I agree Israel is right to pursue Hamas and protect their own people while abiding by the laws of warfare. Does this put me on the "wrong side?"

(26,460 posts)2 primary goals, to get the hostages and to destroy Hamas. For Israel to attack fleeing civilians would divert Israel from its focus and goals. They want hostages and Hamas, not Palestinian civilians. To suggest otherwise is ludicrous.

(39,941 posts)Its unclear what caused the widespread devastation. CNN has reached out to the IDF for comment on any airstrikes in the same location.

(7,026 posts)This is getting old really quickly. It seems even the most minor critique of Israel is deemed anti-semitic or pro-terrorist.
For the record, I support the right of Israel to defend its people and lands. Israel also has an obligation to wage war according to the laws of warfare, regardless of whether Hamas does the same. Israel is in a tough situation, no doubt, whereas Hamas doesn't abide by the same restraints.
