I see people emphasizing the value of ethnic or religious differences and I see lots of problems that we currently have emanating from it. Sure, I'm from somewhere, and I have an ethnic background, culture and so forth, but I use that for genealogy purposes to know my background. It's useful to know our background to trace our history.
What is the Israel Palestine problem after you remove all these trappings? It's a real estate issue particularly when you remove all the religious ID. Granted a real estate issue can be bad enough on its own when people clash.
I don't want to deny people who have been denied knowing who they really descend from if that's the particular issue. But to make it so central you end up killing each other?
