BREAKING: #HB1057 in South Dakota, which would have done incomprehensible harm to trans kids, was moved to the 41st day of the session --- essentially killing the bill.
Congratulations to all of the advocates who worked around the clock to defeat this dangerous bill. #SDLeg

FWIW, South Dakota is often used as a test site for extremist anti-LGBTQ and anti-woman legislation b/c of the state's lack of progressive infrastructure. It is HUGE that the ACLU of SD was able to mobilize this many people to kill #HB1057 AND IT IS HUGE that they succeeded.

Yours are the new voices of change in the world.
