I was dogpiled for saying I don't find victim blaming funny

The Hill published an article on Dave Chappelle & political correctness & said he never wanted to take away someone's freedom of experssion. All I said was I never found victim blaming to be funny and I thought comedians were supposed to be funny. The reason I said that is Chappelle showed more sympathy with Bill Cosby, Louis CK, Michael Jackson and made jokes at the victim's expense.

Also whenever I read victim blaming on a message board or something I never laughed. I never told anyone not to watch his show but I'm being ripped by conservatives including conservative women who called me a pansy. I'm sorry I can never think of a scenario where I find victim blaming funny.

For background

Dave Chappelle’s Netflix special targets Michael Jackson’s accusers, #MeToo, and cancel culture

Also this article turned out to be true.

and thought two things.

1. Inappropriate and not funny

2. I wonder if Chappelle was a victim of childhood sexual abuse. ( the bit about "awkward Thanksgivings" )

I like Chappelle... I have the entire "Chappelle Show" DVD collection. But maybe he needs to drop this part of his act permanently.

The reason why so many men get away with so much crap is because victim blaming is ingrained in our cultures. It needs to be challenged every time. The reason conservative women pile in in these circumstances is that their agency has been so irretrievably linked with their husband of father, any because they cannot conceive of shit landing on their own laps because they live inside their husbands bubble of privilege. They do not even realise they have seceded their agency for a 'protective' patriarchal right wing model that has existed for generations.

Misogynists, victim-blamers, and rapists are wrong.

PS. What exactly is "dogpiling"?

I have lots of conservatives in my notifications. Sorry for not coming up with a better word. I guess ratio is another one but I only have conservatives ratioing me.

Dogpiling occurs when a comment thread is bombarded by a mob of rabid dissidents who unleash a torrent of insults designed to make you take back your opinion or scare you.

he tries but I decided that most of his act was based on the "gotcha principle" and was too negative for me. This is the first time I've expressed those feelings to anyone, anywhere.
