It's called Miz Seabeyond's Blues cuz she scratches out my head when I was ailing

Last edited Tue Feb 21, 2012, 01:22 PM - Edit history (1)

This could as easily have been called Miz Redqueen's Blues, or so many other names, but Seabeyond is the one whose raw pain ripped my heart apart last night.

Here's where we are now. If you don't have time, skip this video, it's not that important. The only important points are that the minister's hug and the letter Glover sends are an open invitation to everyone who felt excluded before.

I know we can move on because the only reason we had this fight is because we're all THAT strong. There's no shame in any of it. So we aired out a little dirty laundry and the circus tickets sold out quick. Bid deal.

This is my song to Miz Seabeyond, my sistah in pain against injustice because I wish I could wave a magic wand over her raw pain and make it go away.

I've learned a lot over the years from the strong second wavers here and just wanted to say thank you. With love. And that I hope people like me can continue to learn with you in sisterhood.

So here's to Seabeond, Redqueen, and all the other people who were hurt, to all of us so we can keep growing and learning together cuz

they scratched out my head when I was ailing and more importantly, "we sho ain't got a whole lot of time".

So let me tell you something sistah, we're two of a kind

Sister, you've been on my mind
Sister, we're two of a kind
So, sister, I'm keepin' my eye on you.

I betcha think I don't know nothin'
But singin' the blues, oh, sister,
Have I got news for you, I'm something,
I hope you think that you're something too

Scufflin', I been up that lonesome road
And I seen alot of suns going down
Oh, but trust me,
No-o low life's gonna run me around.

So let me tell you something Sister,
Remember your name, No twister
Gonna steal your stuff away, my sister,
We sho' ain't got a whole lot of time,
So-o-o shake your shimmy Sister,
'Cause honey the 'shug' is feelin' fine.

She sent me a PM last night. She has been my rock trying to figure out what has happened. As much as I am outside the group, not a poster very often, that group meant the world to me and those that were constant posters have my undying respect and I miss them and I miss the group.

Sea, if you see this and are not OK and need something all you have to do is ask. If I can manage it I will, promise.

There's not much to explain.

I made a blunt comment in HM and Seabeyond PM'd me with a comment of her own.

The comments, or differences, aren't important.

What stuck me is that someone I'd earlier dismissed as an insensitive soul deliberately pretending not to see transphobia and wanting to exclude people from the FG group, was anything but the mean person I used to think she was.

Instead, I found a very delicate, sensitive soul who's hurting really badly about how all of this went down and where we are now.

It was just a few PMs. Seabeyond is still here and all right.

I hope she'll post here again and that was just my own little vanity thread to say *Sea, I love ya sistah and goddamn, I'm sorry your'e hurting like this"

Sometimes when we come from different places in our lives we make statements that are insensitive or maybe just dumb or perhaps what we said was misunderstood. We have a terrible tendency to just jump, all of us do, and pile on only to learn later that we were wrong or that nothing bad was ever meant.

I don't know what your exchange was but I do know there were some very bad exchanges between people here all intertwined with a host problem. It seemed to me a lot of people were smeared when what they were doing was totally different than what they were accused of. It just all happened at once. I was not here, I did not see it or participate in it so take that for what it is worth. I have spent the time looking at everything I could find out about the situation and this is what I see.

It takes a big person to actually see the truth of someone they have been angry with and then publicly put that information out for public consumption. I don't know you at all but I certainly appreciate your ability to do that.

My smile for today, thank you Catherina. A step forward we should all try to take.

"It just all happened at once" and before anyone knew it bodies were flying all over the place, arms flailing, people wailing and gnashing teeth while others were left by the roadside in pain.

Why are these things so messy and painful?

I'm glad you smiled. I hope Seabeyond and Redqueen do too knowing they still have love and support even after all the painful events and hurtful words. MuseRider

back to you.

It never fails, enough people and it always happens. If we are big enough we can forgive and forget or at least put the blame where it did actually belong and get the injured bystanders help

Your words reminded me of this powerful quote

'The people where you live,' said the little prince, 'grow five thousand roses in the same garden and they do not find what they are looking for ... and yet, what they are looking for could be found in a single rose or in a little water.'

'Yes, indeed,' I replied.

And the little prince added: 'But the eyes are blind. One must look with the heart.'

and this one too, which applies to all of us

To all of us roses:

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_F9j1lmEgVJA/SjvvjCZCh-I/AAAAAAAAE6Q/z1xoFRo_3Ic/s400/little+prince+and+rose.bmp

To you, I'm just a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes.
But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you shall be unique in the world. To you, I shall be unique in the world.'
'I'm beginning to understand,' said the little prince. 'I know a flower... I think she must have tamed me...'

...

Then he added:
'Go and look at the roses again. You will understand that yours is, after all, unique in the world. Then come back and say goodbye to me; as a present I will tell you a secret.'
The little prince went off to look at the roses again.
'You are nothing like my rose,' he told them. 'As yet you are nothing at all. Nobody has tamed you, and you have tamed nobody. You are as my fox used to be. he was just a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But I made him my friend and now he is unique in the world.'
And the roses felt very unconfortable.
'You are beautiful, but you are empty,' he went on.
'One could not die for you. Of course, an ordinary passer-by would think my rose looked just like you. But in herself she matters more than all of you together, since it is she that I watered; since it is she that I placed under the glass dome; since it is she that I sheltered with the screen; since it is she whose caterpillars I killed (except the two or three we saved up to become butterflies). Since it is she that I linstened to, when she complained, or boasted, or when she was simply being silent. Since it is she who is my rose.'
And he went back to the fox:
'Goodbye,' he said.
'Goodbye,' said the fox. 'Now here is my secret, very simply: you can only see things clearly with your heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye.'
'What is essential is invisible to the eye,' repeated the little prince, so as to remember.
'It is the time you have wasted on your rose that makes your rose so important.'
'It is the time I have wasted on my rose...' repeated the little prince, so as to remember.
'People have forgotten this truth,' said the fox. 'But you must not forget. You become responsible, for ever, for what you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose.'

'I am responsible for my rose ...' the little prince repeated, so as to remember.

from a place of love for all my sisters.

I don't think you can ever go wrong when you come from there.

I wish we could all undo all the times we didn't come from a place of love in our lives. Imagine a world where we could do that! Not just say "I'm sorry" but undo it. What a dream.
