Tell me about yours.

I had giant hives like continents for a little over a year that went away. I didn’t take steroids. But worked full-time on 4 Benedryl
In Am & 4 Benedryl at 5 PM.

Might have been launched by chemical exposure & stress

Likewise with giant hives and length of persistence. I did have to take steroids to control them. Cilla, check DM for a little more info.

They said it was a symptom of her having auto immune disorders. She grew out of it, but every once in awhile she gets flare up.

When I stopped eating all refined sugar, they finally left. When I eat a little sugar, I get a few.

especially in the winter - my doc called it idiopathic - makes docs look like idiots

he put me on a combo of generic zyrtec and famotidine and it seems to keep it under control

I would develop patches as big as the palm of my hand. I used OTC Zyrtec to control the itch.

I get them from time to time. I think I may know what brought them on this time. But boy - I've had them now for 2 weeks!

Miserable.

that were subcutaneous and only on my face. As soon as I quit the stressful job I had that I absolutely hated, they stopped. Another time I had hives was immediately following a car accident, started getting hives days later. Had to have a steroid shot and Dr said it was likely from the stress of the accident.

If nothing in your diet or surroundings has changed, are you perhaps under some new stress?

My (Italian) doctor gave me something for it (don't remember -- it was the 80's) and suggested baking soda baths, which soothed the pain.
