wild hair thought.

when are the medical tech whizzes gonna figure out that we could use a machine that images our whole OUTSIDE?

like many old irishmen, i have had 1 skin cancer removed, and have to get yearly exams at the dermatologist.
i dont mind, as i have a crush. about my age, barely 5', veinnese. we had the nicest chat while he dug a small thing out of my arm. it was right in a tat, but you would never know.
trouble is, apparently there is a shortage of dermos. it's the kind of appt that you have to make on the way out of the office.

but it occurs to me that a scanning machine could spot color and temperature variations that a human eye might even miss. or it could penetrate a few mm to see the full dermis.

anyone who wants to steal this idea, please do.
so far they are slow growing. but...

I had to really talk to the dr. to get him to biopsy the first melanoma, he thought it was fine - it wasn't! My dermatologist now is much better, but still things could be missed and some moles taken are fine. Why not fine tune this process? Any tech folks want to chime in?

Going to the dermatologist every 6 months for a check up is what me and my daughter have to do. We know we have to always use sun screen and reapply it often when in the sun - especially if it's sun and water involved. We also look for shade all the time. Yes, I know we are at some risk, but we take steps to minimize that. What I hate the most is that I passed this on to her, that breaks my heart.
