I watched Conclave this morning.
Didn't watch the Oscars, but Oscar nominated films are usually worth watching. It stars Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, and John Lithgow among others.
Recommended.

OP
I plan to watch it for those three actors alone. Good cast, albeit with the Pope's current health...

I did read the book first and thought it was great. However books are always better in my experience.

It hits way too close to "home."-- even for non-Catholics

(20,100 posts)8. Yes, they are great actors.
And it took me awhile to get into the subject matter, but it was worth it. Its interesting to see how they elect a pope.
There was one line - "I feel like I'm at an American political convention"- that had me laughing.

(4,222 posts)9. That's the only Oscar nominated movie we saw and we saw it in the theater shortly after it was released.
We loved it especially the delicious twist at the end! Very much recommend this movie.
