As of May 3 it's been 1 year since I finished treatment.
Cancer free for one year. So far so good.

(6,461 posts)What they don't tell you is that you will have small moments of paranoia before every doctor's appointment hereafter. Scary, but it makes the good news from those appointments even sweeter. Celebrate!

Right now my concern is my Thyroid. My TSH levels are fine due o the Synthroid. I will get an ultrasound Wednesday to check on my Thyroid.

(2,341 posts)Good for you! I never realized how long this sort of treatment and recovery would be, and how many small steps were involved. i recently passed my one year since the start of treatment, and that felt pretty strange.

(60,277 posts)My beard has not grown back, but there's enough for a pitiful goatee. I hadn't shaved since August 1969, so I guess it was time for a change. The goatee was my wife's idea. I even bought a norelco shaver. I love gadgets
