The cancer swoop UPDATE

Last edited Tue Feb 25, 2025, 07:34 PM - Edit history (1)

Carcinoma of gallbladder spread to liver.

There you are, living your life, job interviewing, and your parent feels ill. So, in you go for what you think will be a normal medical visit.

Then you get the news: your mother has serious cancer. You go in thinking its gallbladder, and its mets cancer. A parade of drs come into the hospital room discussing this w u dispassionately, cause they do this all day. Then the multiple visits to the hyper specialists start.

My friend is now experiencing this. I did in 1996. My mother smoked 40+ urs, but just couldn't get y she had inoperable lung cancer. Shed sit deny and cry. At the end, it went to her brain and she couldn't talk.

Ironically, Pam is a nonsmoking healthnut for decades. She ate organic, was her own nutritionist, and consumed god knows what over decades. No pills, not even for severe pain. She, of course, feels overwhelmed.

Cancer swoops in. My friend says its a nightmare. It is.

She didn't want to "upset" them I told my friend tell these two wealthy Trumpers asap. They wanted to know if my friend was staying w the mother.

I have no idea the monkey wrench this has thrown into my friends new job she badly needs, since she had to pay rent and utilities to stay w Pam. I was shocked bc my liberal mother would nvr make me pay rent when i was out of work.

My friend takes meds to control a debilitating mental illness. Pam called her a pill popper, amd told her shed prrfer she control her illness by being an alcoholic.

So, I'm assuming theyre heading forward w orthodox medical care.

Abt 48 hrs ago. I feel worse for my friend. She's 100 percent disabled and couldn't handle her job anymore so quit. Cannot get ssdi in TX. Used up more than half her saving whole living w Pam. Her family is not supportive of her being on "welfare". I hope my friend is ok and this doesn't kick her into a spiral.

Is very mean and nonsupportive of my friend. I'm assuming her 2 bros assume my female friend will be the caretaker.

She thinks this is from a dr leaving gauze during an 85 total hysterectomy. My friend told her share these feelings on fb so her bros can see some of this.
