Does anybody here have trigeminal neuralgia?

and what are you doing when you get breakthrough episodes? It's impossible to talk to my neurologist over the phone, so I think I'm just going to take 1/2 pill extra.

Tapping is an excellent therapy. The tapping pressure always depends on your ability to tolerate it. Clouds Passing Mar 14 #7

I had toxicity issues. MSM helped. So did dandelion tea.

It's capsule or tablet form.

People might try tapping. It's more popular in Britain I think. Search for demonstrations on YouTube. Simple, free.

you can tolerate someone touching your face?

As to cause, mine is related to chronic sinus infection, for which not much more can be done. I use a Navage, which helps keep the inside of my nose clear, and several sinus surgeries. My ENT periodically puts me on an antibiotic with prednisone, which helps a lot, but you can't do that stuff forever.

I'll try dandelion tea. I'm a little wary of MSM--I'll ask my doctor about it (dosage, specifically, and possible problems with interactions with the thousands of pills I already take).

Thanks very much. Currently, I'm on 750mg of oxcarbazine twice a day, with good control. It's these breakthroughs that get me. I'd love it if the dandelion tea gave me relief on those occasions!

It accesses the centers of nerve activity in the upper half of the body through light repetitive taps with your fingertips. I find it works for pain, old injuries. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=tapping

Sinus can be an allergy/diet issue. I've had good results with a no-sugar, very low carb high-fish keto diet.

Dandelion tea helps clean the liver and output more urine. If that works it's a real clue.

Mine is set off if I accidentally brush my hand against the tip of my nose. It goes off sometimes when I blink my eye. Touching any part of the upper right quadrant of my face, even so gently it would barely be felt, sends me into agonies and makes me cry out in pain. At times I can't even brush my hair on the right side of my head.

I would never intentionally tap my face.

Sorry to hear of your suffering. Obviously I'm a home remedy freak, and only know what's helped me.

The more you tap the more you can tolerate. Start on the areas that are not affected by the nerve pain.

Capsaicin a Quick Fix for Trigeminal Neuralgia

I've used capsaicin for several years to keep my neuropathy under control. It works far better than anything that the doctors ever prescribed.
