2. If you sync via bluetooth to the app on your cell phone, it automatically updates the online info

So, no you would not have to be online for that to happen. Is that what you are asking?

4. Do you have the app set so that it can access cellular data? If so, then

that should still work even if you don't have a wifi signal, as long as you have a 3 or 4G cellular signal. I just turned off wifi on my iphone to try it and it did sync.

so, you won't lose anything. That's the benefit of that model. I think it can store up to a week or so...?

First one was top of the line. The rubber peeled off around the clock and stopped working. They sent me a charge 2....whooptie do, and I had to charge the bastard so much the metal housing around the plug snapped. Im done w fitbit. Shit product. I could only get mine to sync w wifi when i had it. So maddening.

I'm going old school again. If it works for you, and you can afford it, keep up w it. I just am so irritated I spend 200+ for a work out monitor...that fell apart when it gets sweat on it.

the app sucks. It's slow, clunky and won't synch most of the time. In my experience, WiFi and bluetooth both have to be on for it to synch, when it does decide to.

I've got my stride length dialed in for both a slow and fast pace on flat ground, though.

It may not answer your Charge 2 question, but there you go.

Go on Amazon and get a "sleeve' that fits it. The rubber won't roll. Good luck with it.

12. I've read about that issue but

after a couple of years, have not experienced it. Yet.

Fun facts:
1.) I like the small size, can be clipped to a pocket, etc. and you don't have to wear it like a watch.

2.) My wife has had her FB zip a few months longer than myself and hers eats batteries. Mine does not. Just another example of inconsistent software/hardware quality problems. Like mentioned up thread, I probably would not get another either.
